Biographical summary 1757-1838. רב בשקלוב. על פי מחקרו של ד"ר אריה מורגנשטרן עלה ארצה לירושלים רק בשנת 1832 לערך. היה פעיל בעניני ציבור ונשיא הפרושים. לפי מסורת משפחתו, היה מראשי גלי עליית תלמידי הגאון מווילנה לארץ ישראל, ועלה בעצמו בשנת 1809.
