שיר לכבוד הרב אברהם ברוך פיפירנו מאת דוד יעקב מארוני. לפני השיר: הזאת בבאו לליוורנו ושמע שמועה טובה... כי... הרב... אברהם ברוך פיפירנו ... מן השלשה היושבים על כסא דין להורות את בני ישראל... פה ליוורנו... ויהי עליהם... לראש ולקצין ... אשירה נא לידידי... שירה חדשה... אחרי השיר: נאם הכו"ח [הכותב וחותם] פה ליוורנו... עשרה ימים לחדש מנחם שנת התרי"ז... דוד יעקב מארוני מ"ב [משרת בקדש] בצינטו. השיר פותח: לליוורנו עלי כל עיר יקרה. בשולי העמוד השני הערות לשיר. Poem composed by David Jacob b. Solomon Maroni, rabbi from the community of Cento, upon his arrival in Livorno to discover that Rabbi Abraham Barukh b. Moses Raphael Piperno had been elevated to the positions of head of the rabbinical court and chief rabbi. Marini, who curiously included footnotes explaining certain word choices, may have been trying to ingratiate himself with Piperno, who had previously published a collection of poems entitled Kol Ugav (Livorno, 1846). This copy presents as a pamphlet, though the printing is only on pp. 1 – 2, while the other pages are blank. |
